Most issues of the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences (JMIRS) contain a Directed Reading designated for potential CME credit. Each CME activity consists of reading the designated article in JMIRS, and completing a brief post-test evaluation with 25 multiple choice questions. Persons scoring greater than or equal to 75% pass the exam and can print a CME certificate. Persons scoring less than 75% cannot retake the test and will therefore not be able to print a certificate.
The JMIRS is accredited by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). The CAMRT designates 2.0 RECEEM (Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism) Category “A” credits for each reading successfully completed. Credit for each reading may be earned for up to two years after publication, starting when the issue goes live. After two years, tests will expire and credit will no longer be offered.
